About the Opportunity

Phipps Cameron is collaborating with a private equity-backed leader in the market to hire a senior Corporate Development professional responsible for steering its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy and execution. This is an influential role suited for a seasoned dealmaker who has a successful history of managing acquisitions in the services sector. The role involves close cooperation with executive leadership and investors to identify, assess, and carry out acquisitions that drive the company's ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire M&A process from deal origination through valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and deal closure.
• Craft and implement acquisition strategies aligned with the organization's long-term expansion goals.
• Establish and nurture relationships with company founders, advisors, investment banks, and private equity firms to maintain a robust deal pipeline.
• Assist with planning and integrating acquisitions post-closure to maximize value generation.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the Corporate Development team and collaborate cross-departmentally with Finance, Operations, and Legal teams.

Candidate Profile

• Over a decade of experience managing complex M&A deals.
• Demonstrated success acquiring companies in the services sector, particularly in private equity-backed firms, preferably within blue-collar or field services industries.
• Expertise in creating financial models, conducting valuations, and performing commercial due diligence.
• Strong skills in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication.
• Proven capacity to thrive in dynamic, rapidly growing environments.
