Role Overview

This role views graphic design as a vital means of visual storytelling to engage, inform, and inspire. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating versatile, imaginative visual content spanning digital campaigns, print, branding, and other mediums, collaborating across teams to bring ideas to reality from brainstorming through to final output.

Key Responsibilities

Develop innovative creative concepts based on project goals and ideas
Create a variety of visual assets for both digital and print platforms
Convert concepts into effective layouts, typography, and visual systems
Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and web teams to realize design projects
Prepare production-ready files using standard industry software
Coordinate with external vendors, printers, and creative partners as needed
Incorporate feedback to continually enhance design quality and impact
Support the consistent growth and evolution of BETA's visual brand identity

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related area, or equivalent experience
Portfolio demonstrating creativity, diversity, and meticulous attention to detail
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Demonstrated strong sense of visual composition, typography, and layout design
Excellent organizational abilities to manage several projects and meet deadlines
Collaborative approach with an openness to critique and feedback
Basic knowledge of branding, marketing, and visual communications principles

Preferred Skills

More than three years of professional design experience in agencies or in-house roles
Understanding of web design fundamentals including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience using content management systems like WordPress
Skills in photography or photo editing
A passionate attitude towards continually learning and broadening creative expertise

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 USD annually, reflecting a competitive and fair pay structure based on skills, experience, and role requirements. The compensation package includes Restricted Stock Units and Performance Stock Units for full-time employees, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, onsite healthcare in Vermont, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, daily provided lunch, and unique perks such as flight lessons.
