General Manager

Position Overview

The General Manager role calls for an enthusiastic and achievement-oriented leader skilled in fostering team cooperation to deliver exceptional customer service. This individual is responsible for recruiting, leading, and developing a dedicated team to uphold outstanding standards in quality, service, cleanliness, and value. The aim is to drive sales growth and manage costs efficiently for a single McDonald's restaurant located in Broadway, County Wexford, Ireland.

Leadership Responsibilities

Sales, Customer Traffic, and Profit Management

• Design and implement localized marketing campaigns to maximize community engagement and sales.
• Maintain and improve systems that boost sales and transaction volumes; set ambitious targets and ensure team accountability.
• Lead in-house execution of new product rollouts and operational procedures.
• Carry out national and cooperative promotional activities to enhance sales outcomes.
• Manage expenses diligently and achieve budgeted financial goals.
• Apply security and safety protocols consistently throughout the restaurant.

Operational Excellence

• Uphold rigorous standards for product quality, service speed, cleanliness, sanitation, and prioritize food safety each day.
• Oversee scheduled equipment maintenance to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Effectively monitor and control profit and loss items, including food and labor costs.
• Assess customer satisfaction levels regularly and implement strategies to enhance guest loyalty and experience.
• Optimize staff scheduling to support business growth across all meal periods.
• Ensure upkeep of the restaurant’s physical plant, including landscaping and building facilities.
• Implement all necessary security procedures thoroughly.

People Management

• Source, select, develop, and retain an optimal number of enthusiastic crew, maintenance, and management personnel committed to excellent customer service.
• Organize and lead leadership team meetings.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations based on predefined goals for all team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety practices, educating staff accordingly.
• Demonstrate performance standards across all crew roles and assist as needed to maintain productivity.
• Design and execute plans to boost employee satisfaction, loyalty, and pride in their work.
• Guide training and development initiatives for both crew and shift managers, encompassing hiring and performance management.
• Manage diverse tasks including food safety, communication, inventory, cleanliness, team management, quality assurance, customer service, safety, security, scheduling, and training.

Additional Information

• Employment is full-time and based onsite at the restaurant.
• Annual salary range from $40,000 to $65,000.
• Benefits include 401(k) plan and matching, dental, health and vision insurance, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and paid training.
• Minimum experience requirement is 3 years.
