General Helper

About the Opportunity

This position is with a rapidly expanding logistics and import-export business serving clients across the UAE. The company handles cross-border cargo movement, warehousing, and supply chain support, and is looking for a reliable General Helper to assist on-site teams with day-to-day operations in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.

Role Overview

The General Helper will contribute to smooth warehouse and facility operations by supporting material handling, stock movement, packing, basic equipment use, and general upkeep. The role requires careful attention to safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Key Duties

• Help load, unload, and arrange goods in warehouse and dispatch areas using manual or mechanical handling equipment.
• Assist with stock control by labeling items, scanning inventory, and moving products to the correct storage locations as instructed.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, palletizing, and securing cargo so it meets transport requirements.
• Carry out regular housekeeping tasks such as cleaning workspaces, sweeping floors, and removing waste.
• Use basic warehouse equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and scales, under supervision and in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety rules and immediately inform supervisors about hazards, damage, or equipment issues.

Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should have enough English communication ability to understand instructions and coordinate with the team. Forklift operation is preferred if certified, but training can be provided. The role also calls for strength and stamina for manual lifting, standing for long periods, and general warehouse support. Familiarity with inventory tagging/scanning and warehouse safety practices is important.

Preferred Background

Prior experience supporting warehouse or logistics operations is an advantage. A UAE driving license may be useful for transport-related support tasks. Exposure to ERP or inventory systems such as SAP or WMS is also considered beneficial.
