About the Role

Become an essential part of our team as a Garbage Container and Recycling Tote Hauler, where you will be responsible for the safe transport of waste bins and recycling totes to designated collection points either on-site lanes or curbsides. This position demands a dependable and organized individual committed to supporting a growing waste management service, emphasizing excellent customer care, teamwork, and maintaining a positive workplace atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate your vehicle safely to transport garbage containers and recycling totes within and around various premises.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks involving lifting and securing waste containers for efficient collection.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines while driving and handling waste materials to minimize risks of injury or accidents.
  • Perform regular checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to organize and meet scheduled collection times.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with supervisors and colleagues to report any operational or safety issues promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in sanitation or waste management is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be offered.
  • Capability to lift heavy items and perform physically challenging activities.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history and have access to a vehicle equipped with a 2-inch tow hitch receiver.
  • Attention to detail and a strong adherence to safety protocols are necessary.
  • Must display excellent teamwork abilities and a cooperative approach to work.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly pay between $32 and $35.
  • Flexible working schedule.

This is an on-site role based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Reliability and a commitment to outstanding customer service are essential. Applicants will be asked during application if their vehicle includes a 2-inch tow hitch receiver.
