Overview
Circleback is pioneering a new product category by creating a comprehensive platform that captures, organizes, and processes conversational context from meetings, calls, emails, and more using AI. Our mission is to turn every conversation into actionable insights with best-in-class meeting notes, search, and automation tools, used daily by thousands of paying customers. We operate as a profitable, rapidly-growing startup backed by Y Combinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end features spanning our web (React, Next.js), desktop (Electron, Swift), and mobile (React Native) applications, including database design, API development, and user interfaces.
- Architect and design new systems while upholding high code quality standards.
- Lead product and technical decision-making rather than solely implementing instructions.
- Work on foundational challenges such as AI-powered outputs, transcription, search, on-device recording, performance optimization, and automation workflows.
- Continuously explore and integrate cutting-edge AI models and technologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Create tools and processes that increase team productivity over time.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience building and delivering high-quality software products.
- Strong product intuition with attention to detail and ability to mentor peers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Value craftsmanship that compounds over time—prioritize reusable solutions and long-term velocity over quick fixes.
- Appreciate the interdependencies in product features, understanding how improvements in transcription enhance downstream AI and search functionalities.
Interview Process
- Initial screening (approximately 30 minutes).
- Two subsequent technical interviews, each lasting about 1 hour.
- Paid, onsite work trial of 2-3 days in San Francisco.

Compensation
The salary range for this position lies between $145,000 and $240,000 annually.
