Freelance Language Evaluation Specialist

About the role

This is a flexible contract opportunity for language professionals who want to contribute to the training and assessment of AI language models. The work can be done fully from home and is structured as part-time, making it suitable for people seeking either primary or additional income.

Compensation

The pay is capped at $20 USD per hour and is disbursed on a weekly basis.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI-generated writing and judge it for correctness, clarity, and natural flow.
• Create brief prompts and original replies to support AI model training.
• Compare multiple AI responses and select the strongest one using defined evaluation standards.
• Share written notes on language quality and areas for improvement.

Candidate profile

Ideal applicants are fluent in their target language as well as English and have professional experience in language-focused work such as writing, teaching, translating, tutoring, editing, annotating, or related fields. A bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, especially in humanities, language, or writing-related disciplines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow assessment instructions carefully are important. Experience in linguistics, academic writing, data annotation, or AI content review is advantageous.

Working arrangement

This is a remote position with no fixed location. The schedule is self-managed, giving you the freedom to choose when you work.
