Role overview

We are seeking a Fraud Specialist for a partner company operating in the United Arab Emirates. This is a full-time remote position focused on protecting a fast-growing digital marketplace through stronger fraud prevention and risk controls.

In this role, you will investigate suspicious behavior, study fraud trends, and help improve the systems that safeguard users and transactions. The work blends analysis, case handling, and teamwork across product, data, and engineering functions to reduce risk and strengthen trust across the platform.

The position suits someone who enjoys working through complex problems, spotting unusual patterns, and turning findings into practical security improvements that support a safer experience for a global user base.

Key accountabilities

Track marketplace activity to spot suspicious patterns and help stop fraudulent transactions.
Review data to uncover fraud trends, new threats, and likely attack techniques.
Handle escalated fraud investigations and suggest the right response based on risk evaluation.
Work with product, data, and engineering teams to strengthen fraud detection and prevention tools.
Build and update dashboards, reports, and alerts that support ongoing monitoring.
Help shape fraud prevention policies, procedures, and operating practices.
Find weaknesses in the system and recommend changes that improve user trust and platform security.

Requirements

Background in fraud prevention, risk operations, trust and safety, fintech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with confidence in interpreting data and turning it into actions.
Exposure to fraud monitoring tools, anomaly detection approaches, or rule-based risk systems.
Careful, detail-oriented working style with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving threats.
Ability to collaborate well with product, data, and engineering stakeholders.
Clear communication skills and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, scaling environment.
Good English is required; stronger proficiency is preferred because the workplace uses an international working language.
