Role Overview
We seek a versatile People and Talent generalist to establish and develop the foundational programs, procedures, and infrastructure of our People function. While recruiting and talent acquisition will be the primary focus initially, this role will also embrace responsibilities in benefits administration and organizational culture development, with scope to specialize and grow alongside the expanding team. An ambitious, proactive individual eager to create a strategic, empathetic, and data-driven People function will thrive here.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruiting cycle including collaborating with external recruiters, scheduling and coordinating interviews, handling the applicant tracking system (Ashby), supporting hiring managers, and ensuring an excellent candidate experience.
- Develop detailed playbooks to streamline team growth by documenting best practices in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Oversee comprehensive onboarding processes from offer acceptance through new hire integration in their initial weeks.
- Administer employee benefits such as open enrollment, renewals, reimbursements, and provide reliable support for employee inquiries.
- Foster company culture by designing and sustaining rituals, traditions, and team-building events that reinforce Petra’s unique identity.
- Collaborate with management and staff to address daily HR needs, maintaining up-to-date, compliant policies and documentation across different states.
- Ensure smooth office operations, making the workplace inviting and efficient.
- Advance the People function to encompass mature organizational aspects including performance management, career development frameworks, manager support, and people analytics as Petra grows.
Qualifications & Attributes
- 2 to 4 years experience in people operations, human resources, or talent acquisition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that quickly establish trust within teams.
- A self-motivated individual who embraces the challenge of building processes and infrastructure from the ground up with a hands-on approach.
- A keen sense for process development, recognizing when to create structured methods to enhance efficiency and clarity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness, ensuring precision and accountability in all tasks.
- A proactive attitude toward operational and office tasks, contributing directly to a positive workplace environment.
- A genuine passion for recruiting and talent management.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range from $110,000 to $145,000 annually.
