About the Role
Join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand as a Food Leader, where you'll guide teams to ensure precise inventory control, efficient stock replenishment, and attractive presentation of fresh food items. You'll strategically manage product flow and displays to deliver a smooth and inviting shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams to accurately audit inventory and finalize production plans for departments like Meat and Bakery.
- Ensure ticketing accuracy and support online order fulfillment to reduce errors.
- Prioritize restocking efforts while maintaining stock rotation and high-quality merchandising of fresh foods, essentials, and promotional items.
- Maintain freshness standards and oversee visual merchandising, cleanliness, and campaign execution to enhance customer experience.
- Provide operational guidance, solve escalated issues, and conduct routine health checks to improve store functions.
- Support store leadership by acting as Store Manager when required and actively engage in team collaboration initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical skills to break down complex problems and devise effective solutions.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills, including delegating tasks, monitoring team progress, and offering constructive feedback and motivation.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey tasks, deadlines, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Data literacy to interpret information and ensure accurate, timely delivery aligned with company values.
- Availability to work four shifts on weekends monthly, including at least one Saturday and one Sunday, plus at least one evening weekly until store closure.
