Field Desktop Support Engineer (L1 & L2)

Job Overview

Midass System Products is seeking Field Desktop Support Engineers at levels L1 and L2 based in Chennai. This role primarily involves visiting various client and end-user locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to desktops, laptops, printers, and networks. Occasionally, support duties will be performed at the office as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites within Chennai to diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop hardware and software problems.
• Provide in-house service support when required.
• Install, repair, and maintain computer hardware components.
• Troubleshoot printer malfunctions and network connectivity issues.
• Respond to daily support requests, tickets, and calls.
• Maintain straightforward reports documenting daily tasks.
• For L2 level: perform fundamental server support and maintenance tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field; candidates with hardware experience from other streams are also welcome.
• L1 candidates may be freshers or have up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• L2 candidates should possess 1–3 years of experience and familiarity with basic server handling.
• Sound understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, printers, and networking fundamentals.
• Availability for regular travel within Chennai city limits to client locations.
• Own transportation (preferably a bike) is preferred; petrol allowance is provided. Alternatively, travel expenses for bus or local train can be reimbursed.

Compensation & Benefits

• L1 Level: Monthly salary of ₹25,000.
• L2 Level: Monthly salary of ₹30,000.
