Expression of Interest - Government Program Opportunities

Overview

PALAS Consulting invites experienced ICT professionals to express interest in upcoming roles supporting a major Australian Government Defence systems program. These positions involve practical delivery work within a large, secure enterprise environment.

Available Disciplines

• Application Support Specialists: Manage support for enterprise applications in secure settings, including incident and problem resolution, user assistance, release support, and ongoing process improvement. Prior experience with applications in sizable, complex organisations is essential; Defence or Federal Government experience is preferred.
• SharePoint Specialists: Responsible for designing, configuring, migrating, and administering SharePoint environments. This includes managing information architecture, governance, permissions, and enabling users. Experience with SharePoint solutions in secure or government contexts is advantageous.
• Power BI Developers: Develop dashboards, reports, and data models that aid program and business decisions. Candidates should possess strong data modelling capabilities, expertise in DAX, and the ability to convert stakeholder requirements into actionable reporting.
• Integration Engineers: Design, develop, and maintain integrations between enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and data flows, all within a secure systems framework. Experience working in large, complex organisational environments is necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in the specified discipline within a large, multifaceted organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a program delivery team and engage stakeholders.
• Experience in Federal Government or Defence sectors is highly valued.
• Must be an Australian citizen.
• Possession of a current AGSVA security clearance is mandatory.
• Availability to start in early August 2026 is required.

Work Location and Arrangements

These roles are expected to be based in Canberra, with specific working arrangements to be finalized.
