Position Overview
SciPro is partnering with a late-stage clinical biotechnology company focused on innovative targeted oncology therapies, seeking an Executive Director for Clinical Supply Chain. This role involves leadership of a growing global supply chain operation supporting a rapidly expanding clinical pipeline, including multiple Phase III trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the global clinical supply chain strategy in alignment with the expanding late-stage pipeline.
- Manage comprehensive clinical supply chain operations, including demand forecasting, packaging, labeling, distribution, and comparator sourcing.
- Build, lead, and expand a high-performing team currently consisting of approximately 18 members.
- Act as the primary escalation resource for technical and strategic matters within supply chain functions.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance departments.
- Ensure readiness for inspections and compliance with GxP, ICH, FDA, and EMA standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- 18 to 20 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech supply chain roles, with appropriate adjustments for advanced degrees.
- Minimum of five years in leadership positions, demonstrating effectiveness in scaling teams and managing matrixed organizations.
- Extensive recent experience managing small molecule clinical supply chains on a global scale from end to end.
- Combination of strategic vision and hands-on execution skills.
- Oncology sector experience and knowledge of supply planning software platforms like Endsight are advantageous.
Additional Details
The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area with a hybrid work model, or fully remote for candidates on the West Coast, requiring monthly travel to headquarters.
