About the Role
Join our team in Burnie, Tasmania as an Employment Consultant where you will have a profound impact by creating meaningful employment opportunities and changing lives. This role focuses on supporting individuals, particularly those with disabilities or facing long-term unemployment, to achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to participants struggling with various barriers, helping them become job-ready.
- Market candidates actively to employers and generate new job opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local businesses to establish ongoing employment pathways.
- Coach participants in developing skills such as resume building, interview preparation, job searching, and accessing training and upskilling resources.
- Advocate effectively for participants to secure placements, negotiate job trials, work experience, and wage subsidies.
- Engage with employers through cold calling, visits, and face-to-face meetings to uncover hidden opportunities and convert these into placements.
- Track participant progress and maintain program compliance including documentation, data entry, and performance metrics.
- Celebrate successful milestones to enhance participant confidence and motivation.
Who You Are
- An excellent communicator and relationship builder comfortable with employer engagement.
- Experienced in sales, recruitment, business development, or customer-facing roles.
- Passionate about aiding individuals to overcome employment barriers.
- Resilient and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.

Additional Information
- Work hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- Location: Burnie, Tasmania, onsite.
- Must hold a valid Australian driver's license and have access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Required to have or obtain MyGovID (Standard level), pass National Police and Working with Children Checks.
- Eligibility to work in Australia is mandatory.
