The Opportunity
We are seeking an Electronics Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Hamilton. Available shifts include day, afternoon, and night, allowing alignment with your availability and operational demands.
Under the guidance of the Test Engineering Lead, you will provide essential hands-on technical aid to manufacturing operations, ensuring continuous production by troubleshooting faults, upholding product quality, and collaborating closely with Production, Test Engineering, Production Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
This role is practical and shop-floor based, ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively, and making a tangible impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Repair electronic products to meet production targets.
- Coordinate repair priorities with factory supervisors.
- Diagnose faults, determine root causes, and communicate findings to production teams.
- Maintain detailed repair records via management software.
- Provide support to Production Engineering and other technical groups as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety standards strictly.
- Keep workspaces organized and compliant with 6S principles.
- Contribute suggestions for ongoing improvements in processes, quality, and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- NZQA qualification or Diploma in Electronics.
- Experience in repairing or servicing electronics.
- Previous work in manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong skills in fault detection and troubleshooting.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and quality conscious.
- Collaborative with the ability to engage with diverse teams.
