About the Role
A leading Renewable Energy company based in Dublin seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager for a permanent position. The successful candidate will head and nurture a team responsible for all electrical engineering facets across a varied portfolio of large-scale renewable projects, predominantly wind and solar power, along with other renewable energy infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all electrical and grid components through project initiation, development, execution, and contract management to ensure delivery of electrical engineering aspects, including onsite and contestable grid infrastructure, on schedule, within budget, and at the demanded quality.
- Evaluate Employer’s Requirements for each project and manage their preparation for tendering and contractual paperwork.
- Ensure timely completion of technical and risk assessments; promptly address and mitigate technical challenges to prevent project delays.
- Track technical submissions through approval stages and assist in procurement and delivery of critical long-lead equipment.
- Participate in project meetings to monitor the progress of electrical and grid tasks, ensuring alignment with the overall construction timeline.
- Maintain and update system progress trackers synchronized with construction schedules.
- Review, design, specify, and prepare budget estimates for onsite electrical infrastructure and grid connection equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services, Energy Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience managing large-scale high voltage infrastructure projects, including contestable and non-contestable grid connections involving entities like EirGrid, ESBN, SONI, and NIEN.
- Familiarity with the development, design, review, specification, and budgeting of onsite electrical and grid infrastructure equipment necessary for project interconnection.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering within renewable energy or similar sectors.
