Job description
Role Overview
The Duty Officer at PVR INOX is pivotal in managing the cinema's daily operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, staff supervision, guest satisfaction, and safety protocols throughout their shift.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of cinema operations including ticket sales, concessions, and usher services to maintain order and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across the premises, guaranteeing a welcoming environment.
- Facilitate cooperation among various departments to optimize operational efficiency.
- Lead and motivate frontline employees, conducting briefing sessions to align on daily goals and instructions.
- Support training initiatives for both newcomers and current team members.
- Efficiently manage customer concerns, delivering resolutions with professionalism and ensuring elevated service standards.
- Handle VIP clients and special requests with discretion and promptness.
- Vigilantly monitor premises safety and security, enforcing cinema policies and managing emergency scenarios including evacuation coordination.
- Supervise financial transactions such as cash handling, till operations, sales monitoring, stock oversight, and assist with banking and financial records as required.
- Regularly inspect facilities for compliance with health and safety standards, reporting and overseeing maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Collaborate with marketing and management teams to organize and supervise special events and promotions, including managing crowds and seating logistics.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain detailed documentation on incidents, customer feedback, and staff performance while managing staff schedules and shift allocations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; preference for graduates in hospitality, business management, or related fields.
- Proven supervisory experience in cinemas, retail, hospitality, or customer service settings.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of resolving conflicts and solving problems effectively under stressful conditions.
- Proficient in multitasking and maintaining composure in high-pressure environments.
- Basic financial knowledge and competence with point-of-sale systems.
