Role Overview
The Director of People and Culture is a pivotal leadership figure entrusted with fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and high-achieving organizational environment tightly aligned with the company’s values and business objectives. This role entails steering innovative human capital strategies that enhance employee engagement, inclusivity, performance, and organizational growth. As a core member of the executive team, the director leads the human resources function and advocates for a culture that attracts and nurtures exceptional talent.
Primary Responsibilities
- Champion a positive, diverse, and high-performance workplace culture promoting employee welfare and a sense of belonging.
- Drive initiatives focusing on well-being, engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at all organizational tiers.
- Develop and implement HR strategies synchronized with the company’s business priorities including workforce planning, leadership development, and succession management.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts ensuring recruitment of top-tier professionals, manage employer branding, and enhance onboarding processes.
- Analyze employee turnover trends and institute evidence-based retention approaches.
- Oversee compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and administer compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks.
- Ensure maintenance of precise employee records and manage HR information systems efficiently.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the People & Culture department, collaborating cross-functionally to integrate human capital strategies with business goals.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on all human resources matters.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar; Master’s or MBA is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of advancing experience in human resources, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in cultural transformation and executing strategic HR initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices.
- Exceptional skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and problem-solving.
