Working in close alignment with the Director of Home Office and Director of Business Development, the DOO leads a large team and is four organizational levels removed from the frontline, maintaining detailed knowledge about frontline staff including their identities, roles, strengths, development goals, and career aspirations. The DOO acts as a custodian of the company’s mission and culture.

  • Champion and promote company culture while focusing on staff development and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with executive management and report directly to the President.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with safety regulations and training programs, maintain certifications such as OSHA 10, ASM, and pesticide licenses.
  • Lead weekly training for Crew Leaders and ensure supervisors provide comprehensive training including soft skills, technical competencies, and safety awareness.
  • Support employee growth, maintain strong presence at service centers and job sites, and uphold company policies and chain of command.
  • Execute annual and monthly budgets in partnership with the Controller; manage P&L and accounts receivable for the division.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction pre, during, and post-project, manage client relationships, and collaborate with business development for seamless client handoffs and retention.
  • Drive recruitment, staff scheduling, disciplinary measures, and ensure compliance with branding and uniform standards; liaise with corporate human resources.
  • Facilitate sales activities through policy enforcement, proposal development, bidding support, and referral generation.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control processes and execute customer experience surveys to uphold project excellence.
  • Promote professional image standards for fleet, personnel, and facilities; conduct training in etiquette and professional behavior.
  • Demonstrate strong communication abilities; proficiency in English is required and Spanish fluency is advantageous.
  • Manage physical and environmental job demands, including occasional heavy lifting and exposure to various weather and workplace conditions.
  • Travel as necessary within and beyond the market for training and operational needs.
  • Comply with strict security requirements including drug-free employment and passing background and driving record checks.

Employees must sometimes work long hours, such as during emergency or winter weather responses. The role involves exposure to wet, noisy, and potentially hazardous environments, and requires flexibility to travel to multiple office locations or training centers. The statements above provide a general overview but are not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
