Director Global Supply Chain

Overview

The position of Global Supply Chain Director is a high-level leadership role tasked with managing and enhancing the organization's comprehensive supply chain operations on a worldwide scale. This includes overseeing various functional areas such as procurement, production planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and inventory management across multiple countries and regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement a global supply chain strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives.
• Supervise procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and inventory control activities.
• Champion initiatives aimed at cost reduction, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional service quality.
• Ensure robustness of the supply chain through risk management and maintaining business continuity plans.
• Manage supplier relationships and spearhead strategic sourcing projects.
• Track and analyze critical performance metrics including On Time In Full (OTIF), inventory turnover rates, forecast accuracy, and logistics expenses.
• Work collaboratively with operations, finance, sales, and product teams to support organizational growth.
• Lead digital transformation efforts such as integrating ERP systems, AI, automation, and advanced analytics tools.
• Ensure adherence to global trade regulations and promote sustainability compliance.
• Provide leadership and development opportunities to global supply chain teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• 12 to 15 or more years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management.
• At least 5 years of experience managing global or multi-regional supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in procurement, production planning, logistics, inventory oversight, and supplier management.
• Proven track record in driving supply chain transformation and cost optimization projects.
• Experience working with ERP platforms and other supply chain technology solutions.
• Strong background in international business management and stakeholder engagement.
