Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Desktop Engineer to join our Wellington team in a permanent full-time capacity. The role focuses on supporting and enhancing the technology services used throughout MAS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert support and escalate complex technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and fix hardware, software, endpoint devices, and network problems.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Manage user access with a focus on upholding system security.
  • Coordinate deployment of applications, updates, and patches to endpoint devices.
  • Support device lifecycle management and adhere to technology standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, assets, and processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to technology projects and initiatives aimed at improving services.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and user experiences.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum four years of experience supporting IT systems within an enterprise setting.
  • Proven ability in supporting endpoint devices and network hardware.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with Intune for application deployment and device management.
  • Knowledgeable in Entra ID and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with operating in a change-controlled IT environment.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Self-driven with a proactive mindset.
  • Dedicated to continuous service improvement and excellence.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
