Role Overview

We are seeking a Designer to play a pivotal role at one of Australia's most renowned activewear companies. This position is central to product development, overseeing the journey of collections from initial sketches to final fittings. The Designer translates trends, selects fabrics, and ensures precision in construction to deliver desirable, premium-quality products that resonate with our consumers.

Key Responsibilities

• Create garment designs and collections centered on customer preferences, aligning with sales and desirability objectives.
• Choose fabrics and trims that uphold Lorna Jane’s commitment to premium quality.
• Lead final product fittings to evaluate construction, fit, and quality before approval with Product Development.
• Produce true-to-scale sketches accompanied by detailed specifications and construction notes.
• Prepare approved artwork for production and author product descriptions for store and online platforms.
• Develop range boards to illustrate each collection’s concept and direction.
• Monitor market trends, fabrics, and innovative techniques consistent with the brand’s global strategy.
• Collaborate closely with Product Developers on technical packs, fabric approvals, and maintaining critical production timelines.

• Holds a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline, with over three years' experience in design roles.
