Key tasks include organizing the deli area, assisting with inventory and sales, and ensuring the department meets quality and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the deli department ensuring proper zoning.
• Manage stock rotation, checking for expired items to maintain product freshness.
• Verify that all merchandise is correctly labeled and priced.
• Comply with policies related to cold chain management, accurate thermometer calibration, temperature documentation, food safety, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Process customer orders, slice and prepare products like meats, cheeses, and fried chicken, and offer assistance as needed.
• Support front-end staff by conducting price checks when required.
• Prepare deli foods using slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers, including assembling salads and sides for display and fulfilling special customer requests.
• Ensure the deli area remains tidy, clean, and free from clutter or hazards.

Compensation

This role offers a starting wage of $18.30 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
