Job description
Overview
Healthcare Services Group, Inc., through its Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services division, is looking for a Day Porter to manage janitorial and facility maintenance efforts at a primary designated site. The role is designed for individuals passionate about maintaining clean, safe, and inviting environments while supporting exceptional service delivery.
The starting compensation is $12.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Conduct janitorial cleaning in entry points, hallways, cafeterias, and communal spaces ensuring hygiene and safety.
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning and sanitizing sinks, floors, and toilets; restock lavatory materials as needed.
- Dispose of trash, clear waste containers, and remove any graffiti present.
- Apply cleaning agents carefully following safety guidelines and protocols.
- Notify supervisors about any equipment or supply shortages or malfunctions.
- Implement infection control practices and proper hand hygiene to uphold sanitation standards.
- Consistently meet service expectations in customer interactions and cleanliness benchmarks.
- Execute additional duties assigned by management as required.
Qualifications
- Preferably holds a high school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Prior experience in custodial or janitorial roles, particularly within commercial settings, is an advantage.
- Capable of understanding and following both verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Displays willingness for routine, repetitive tasks with consistent performance.
- Can independently carry out responsibilities post-training without supervision.
- Dependable with consistent punctuality for assigned shifts.
- Physically able to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours daily and to lift or move weights up to 50 pounds.
- Accepts exposure to food and cleaning substances during operational tasks.
- Complies with applicable COVID-19 vaccination mandates as required by local, state, or client regulations.
- Willing to undergo and pass a criminal background screening.

Higher Secondary (Class 12)
