Job description
Position Overview
The Data Privacy Senior Specialist is responsible for supporting the design, execution, and oversight of Takamol Holding's personal data protection framework. This role ensures compliance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), its associated Implementing Regulations, and alignment with standards from SDAIA and NDMO, as well as global best practices. Reporting to the Data Management Senior Director, the specialist safeguards sensitive and personal information, integrates privacy-by-design principles in data processing activities, and fosters a company-wide culture of data protection.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Have between 4 to 6 years of pertinent experience in areas such as data protection, privacy, risk management, or data security within a regulated setting.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of fundamental data privacy concepts including data minimization, purpose limitation, lawful processing bases, and accountability principles.
- Proven capability to implement and uphold data protection mechanisms, including policies, procedures, standards, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and embedding privacy-by-design practices. Holding related certifications is preferred.
- Preferably certified with credentials such as CIPM, CIPP/E, or equivalent, with added value from certifications like CDMP or DAMA.
- Possess deep familiarity with the PDPL, NDMO, and SDAIA standards and regulatory landscape.
- Experience conducting privacy risk evaluations, DPIAs, and internal audits.
- Knowledgeable in data classification methodologies and enforcing personal data protection controls.
- Comfortable using data privacy management software tools.
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communicator with advisory skills and experience engaging with various stakeholders across functions.
- Skilled in project management, maintaining meticulous documentation, and paying close attention to detail.
