Role Overview

The Data Engineer will be part of the expanding Data Language Team within GROPYUS Tech. This team manages the semantic layer of the GROPYUS Data Fabric and is responsible for data modeling and transforming data to empower self-service analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data models that capture concepts from architecture and construction domains.
• Develop logic to transform and enhance centralized data for analytics purposes.
• Support data science initiatives, including machine learning and artificial intelligence projects.
• Work closely with domain specialists and software engineers to identify data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets.
• Establish and maintain standards for data quality, governance, and security, including monitoring, testing, and thorough documentation.
• Follow best practices in development processes encompassing documentation, governance, testing, and validation.

Candidate Profile

• Proficient with technologies such as Python or Kotlin programming.
• Experience with query languages like SPARQL and SQL.
• Familiar with reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Quick Sight.
• Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Spark, and graph databases.
• Knowledge of cloud storage solutions.
• Capability to complete assigned tasks under the guidance of senior engineers or leadership.
• Skilled at identifying and resolving data inconsistencies, implementing validation and testing procedures.
• Experience in data modeling either through semantic layers or business intelligence development.
• Adherence to best practices in data and software engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some understanding of semantic layers or ontologies.
• Experience with graph technology and triple stores.
• Exposure to data science, machine learning, and AI agents.
