About the opportunity

An organization in Australia is seeking an early-career Data Analyst to support decision-making through careful data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role suits someone who is detail-focused, eager to learn, and interested in growing practical experience in analytics.

What you'll do

Gather information from multiple sources, then tidy, structure, and prepare it for analysis.
Examine datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable business findings.
Build reports, dashboards, and visual summaries using analytics tools.
Help preserve data accuracy and overall data quality.
Provide data-backed recommendations to support business teams.
Work with colleagues on analytics initiatives and improvements to processes.
Record analysis approaches and outcomes in a clear, organized way.

What we're looking for

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Foundational understanding of data analysis concepts and basic statistics.
Exposure to Microsoft Excel and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
Introductory knowledge of SQL or Python is helpful.
Good communication skills and a sharp eye for detail.
Ability to work alone when needed and also contribute well in a team.
Motivation to learn and develop a career in data analytics.

Qualifications

A diploma or bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a similar discipline is preferred.
Past internship work, academic projects, or prior data analysis experience would be an added advantage.
Comfort with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Python is beneficial.

Working arrangement

The position can be arranged as full-time or part-time, and the role is based onsite in Australia.
