About the role

Gimme Bakery operates as a ghost kitchen in Kitsilano, creating Brazilian savoury snacks and sweets by hand. The business sells its products through its own online shop, delivery platforms, corporate catering, and pop-up market events. They are seeking a dependable Kitchen Cook who can work efficiently in a busy back-of-house setting.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, mix, and prepare dough; run specialised kitchen equipment; and portion sweet and savoury products to the required daily weights.
• Work from standard recipe sheets to keep product taste, size, and presentation consistent.
• Assemble, pack, and prepare orders for pickup customers, delivery-app orders, and catering trays.
• Keep the work area clean and sanitary, handle and organise deliveries weighing up to 20 lbs, and support live food preparation at off-site events while reporting to the Event Coordinator.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate has a valid Food Safe Level 1 certificate, can handle a quick-moving kitchen environment, and is comfortable working at speed during busy periods. Experience of 0–2 years in kitchen work is preferred. Strong dependability, good hygiene habits, and the ability to follow exact instructions are essential. Professional English fluency is required, and Portuguese fluency is an added advantage.
