Control Room Officer (m/f)

Role Overview

Mota-Engil is looking for a highly analytical Control Room Officer to support mining activities in the Benishangul-Gumuz region of Ethiopia. The role focuses on watching live operational information, improving production flow, and keeping communication clear between site teams.

Core Purpose

This position is responsible for observing real-time site activity, reviewing fleet and production indicators, and turning operational inputs into useful dashboards and management reports that support decision-making.

Required Background

• A university degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, or another strongly analytical and relevant discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in control room work, data analysis, or production monitoring; experience from mining, construction, or heavy industry is especially valuable.

Key Competencies

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced analysis, macro-based automation, and operational modeling.
• Working knowledge of Power BI for building, updating, and managing interactive performance dashboards and KPI reports.
• Ability to monitor several live operational feeds at once while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Clear and prompt communication skills for sharing alerts, dispatch changes, and other critical updates with supervisors and managers.

Mandatory Eligibility

• Applicants must currently reside in Ethiopia and be prepared to work on site in the Benishangul-Gumuz region.
• Full fluency in both Amharic and English is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong teamwork, resilience under pressure, and a committed work ethic.
