About UGL and the Role
UGL's Energy & Industrial national unit is rapidly expanding and seeks enthusiastic and qualified professionals to join their team. Combining in-house engineering and design expertise with strong project execution and operational maintenance capabilities, UGL is well positioned in the market to undertake projects in Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Wind, Hydrogen, and Ammonia sectors.
The Contracts Administrator plays a crucial part in project execution, ensuring cost, timeline, and quality objectives are met. This role involves working closely with Project and Commercial Managers to oversee contract administration for goods, materials, and services while adhering to UGL standards, legal requirements, and best commercial practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all contract administration duties associated with projects.
- Prepare accurate and timely payment claims aligning with head contracts and Security of Payments legislation.
- Assess and coordinate subcontractor payment claims and variation requests.
- Track contract securities, insurances, claims, and contract variations effectively.
- Manage subcontract agreements to ensure adherence to budget, quality, and schedules.
- Collaborate with Project, Design, and Construction Managers to guarantee timely delivery of goods and services.
- Support monthly internal and external project reporting, including S-curves, earned value analysis, and productivity metrics.
- Perform initial commercial assessments of subcontractor tenders.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- At least three years’ experience in contract administration or a related role within the resources or construction industries.
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office suite, with SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Resilient with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Organised and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- A positive, team-oriented, customer-focused demeanor.

Location and Employment Details
This full-time contract position is based onsite in Perth, Western Australia (CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs).
