Overview
This role provides a unique chance to collaborate closely with project teams, influencing commercial results and managing contractual risks from project initiation through to completion on large-scale industrial and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee administration of client and subcontractor contracts throughout all project phases.
- Handle variations, progress claims, payment scheduling, and related contractual communication.
- Prepare Extension of Time claims, issue delay notifications, and compile supporting documents.
- Detect and manage contractual and commercial risks proactively.
- Advise project delivery teams with actionable commercial guidance.
- Assess subcontractor claims and provide payment recommendations.
- Maintain contract registers and assist with commercial reporting and forecasting processes.
- Support contract negotiations, dispute resolutions, and closure activities.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will generally bring experience from engineering, construction, infrastructure or industrial projects and have an interest in the commercial aspects of project delivery.
Required Expertise
- Proven background in Contract Administration, Contracts Management or Commercial Contracts.
- Comprehensive understanding of contract administration and commercial workflows.
- Experienced in managing claims, contract variations, EOTs, and contractual correspondence.
- Skilled in contract interpretation with the ability to identify commercial risks.
- Strong negotiation capabilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written communication and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or financial management systems is highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic credentials in Business, Commercial Law, Construction, Engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience working on EPC, EPCM, construction, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms like Pronto or alternatives.
