About the Role
Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This full-time, on-site position requires a candidate with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience to effectively manage and maintain configuration items within the IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify configuration items (CIs) and products for management.
- Plan and oversee the population of the Configuration Management System (CMS).
- Manage receipt, identification, storage, and retrieval of all supported CIs.
- Maintain comprehensive records and information within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Lead and prioritize scheduled audits; ensure corrective actions from Process or Database audits are implemented.
- Collaborate with other processes and CI owners to enforce adherence to the defined Configuration Management procedures.
- Conduct regular housekeeping and maintenance activities within the CMDB to ensure accuracy and currency of information.
