Community Captain

Overview

Based in the Delhi NCR region, this role suits final year students or recent graduates with up to one year of experience. StapuBox is pioneering the world's first sports networking platform aimed at connecting players, coaches, and communities to forge squads and facilitate actual play.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand active sports squads within various localities across NCR, sport by sport.
• Initiate and manage on-ground games, establishing recurring weekly fixtures with proper locations, timings, formats, and ensuring strong attendance.
• Recruit and onboard influential local sports figures to lead and grow games in their neighbourhoods.
• Sustain squad engagement between games using WhatsApp, the platform app, and face-to-face interaction.
• Address player inquiries, manage attendance challenges, and resolve potential conflicts to ensure seamless game execution.
• Monitor and analyze squad activity metrics, including game frequency, participation rates, and retention, enhancing efforts that promote repeated play.

Primary Objectives

• Facilitate the occurrence of actual sporting events in every NCR locality served.
• Convert initial one-time games into consistent, widely-attended sessions maintained independently by squads.
• Design and develop a community and on-ground gameplay framework from the ground up, locality by locality.

Candidate Profile

• Energetic, sociable, and confident engaging with players on-field to initiate games.
• Strong passion for sports, preferably actively participating in any sport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and Hindi.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple squads, regions, and events simultaneously.
• Self-driven and accountable, thriving in fast-moving and evolving startup conditions.
• Reside within Delhi NCR with flexibility for travel across localities and weekend availability as most games occur then.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in organizing community sports, events, open plays, tournaments, or campus clubs, or involvement in ground operations.
• Connections within local sports environments such as academies, societies, or corporate sectors.
• Comfortable managing WhatsApp communities, utilizing Google Sheets, and interpreting engagement and retention data.
