Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Prepare food selections for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, events, and buffet presentations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen areas, ensuring all dishes meet high standards of quality and presentation.
- Prepare and ensure readiness of mis-en-place as needed throughout shifts.
- Implement strict stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain stock control procedures.
- Keep workstations orderly and tidy; ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and cleaned, reporting any issues to the Executive Chef.
- Efficiently manage an assigned section to ensure smooth and productive kitchen operation.
- Follow kitchen recipes and standards diligently for all food preparations.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations for proper storage and handling of products.
- Monitor daily requirements for kitchen ingredients and supplies, communicating needs proactively to supervisors.
- Provide assistance and coordination with the chef on duty as needed.
Qualifications and Additional Requirements
- Possession of relevant trade qualifications.
- Prior experience working within the hotel industry.
- Knowledge and application of food safety standards.
