Role Overview

The CNC Setter and Programmer will be responsible for setting up turning machines, creating and refining CNC programs, and ensuring production runs meet quality and dimensional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare CNC turning machines according to daily production needs.
• Create, modify, and improve CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation accurately.
• Choose suitable tools, fixtures, and operating parameters for machining jobs.
• Carry out first-piece checks and adjust offsets or programs when needed.
• Track machining performance to maintain required accuracy and finish quality.
• Identify and resolve tooling, machine, and programming issues to reduce stoppages.
• Keep production logs and ensure work complies with quality requirements.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and organized work area.
• Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or ITI background in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Machinist, or a similar field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in CNC setting and programming for turning operations is expected. Strong hands-on knowledge of G-code, M-code, tooling, and CNC machine functions is important. The role also requires the ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools. Experience with Fanuc controls is an advantage. Candidates should bring strong problem-solving ability, close attention to detail, and flexibility to work rotational shifts when required.

Additional Information

The compensation offered is in the range of INR 3,50,000 to 4,50,000 per year. The job is based in Hosur and involves onsite work.
