Job description
Role Overview
The Clinical Housekeeper will be an essential part of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients and their families. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the clinical and communal areas, supporting infection control and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver thorough cleaning and tidying of ward spaces, clinical areas, and medical equipment including terminal cleaning of incubators and cots.
- Coordinate infection control cleaning efforts collaboratively with the Facilities Team to maintain hygiene standards.
- Manage food and beverage organization for patients in relevant areas, ensuring proper storage and documentation of fridge temperatures for medicines and specimens.
- Maintain stock levels of consumables by timely ordering to support department needs.
- Assist with ward activities under supervision to facilitate efficient patient flow and bed capacity management.
- Ensure patient bed spaces and rooms are cleaned daily and between patients for safety and readiness.
- Prepare empty bed spaces continuously to ensure availability for incoming patients.
