About the Role
Join Kraft Heinz's New Zealand Finance team in a full-time Category Finance Analyst position located in Newmarket, Auckland. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days in-office and two days remote, set within a cooperative and energetic environment. Kraft Heinz, a leading global food and beverage corporation with eight brands each surpassing $1 billion in sales and an approximate $25 billion global revenue, encompasses a diverse portfolio featuring condiments, dairy, meals, meats, beverages, coffee, infant nutrition, and more.
Responsibilities
- Analyze actual financial performance through variance analysis to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Trade Finance, and Revenue Management to review financials of customer-related opportunities and monitor trade spending against plans and trends.
- Deliver timely financial insights to cross-functional teams to enhance business decision-making.
- Identify risks and opportunities for gap closure and coordinate critical initiatives with key stakeholders.
- Execute essential finance tasks for preparing actual and forecast reports for management.
- Lead monthly performance reporting by clarifying business drivers compared to plan and prior year utilizing Price Volume Mix analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts, Strategic Plans, and Annual Operating Plans, including zero-based budgeting.
- Partner with Marketing to support innovation P&L development.
- Engage with Operations to ensure comprehensive business reporting and understanding.
- Apply financial modeling and scenario planning to offer insights and recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Several years of relevant experience complementing financial education or business partnering.
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to engage stakeholders and drive business results.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Demantra, JDA, SAP, Circana tools (e.g., UNIFY), and Quantium is desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical capabilities and financial insight to decipher data, identify root causes, and clearly communicate key drivers to senior audiences.
- Strategic thinking skills to interpret data and effectively convey implications.
- Problem-solving mindset suited for a fast-paced environment.
