Role Overview

The Career Counselor position at SIFA requires a comprehensive understanding of the Indian film industry, including filmmaking techniques and technical processes. The counselor will guide students by aligning their skills and aspirations with viable career paths in film, emphasizing current industry trends and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Possess in-depth knowledge about the Indian film landscape and contemporary industry trends.
• Understand technical aspects such as Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Sound, Production, and Post-Production workflows.
• Exhibit excellent communication and counseling abilities to mentor students effectively.
• Provide personalized career guidance tailored to students’ individual interests and strengths.
• Experience in career counseling, film, media, or educational sectors with at least two years of relevant work history.
• Professional networking and industry exposure are desirable advantages for this role.
