Role Overview

As a CAD Technician, you will be essential in preparing custom closet projects for production and installation. You will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, and Installation teams to transition projects from initial concepts to finished installations, ensuring a superior customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Export and prepare design files for production including formats like ClosetPro and CSV.
Verify all measurements, wall dimensions, and job details for accuracy.
Review approved designs to confirm readiness for production and installation.
Coordinate special-order materials and assist with production scheduling efforts.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support related to installation for field teams.
Visit customer homes when needed for measurement verifications or project issue resolution.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience in CAD or technical drafting.
Strong attention to detail paired with excellent organizational abilities.
Capacity to juggle multiple projects efficiently under tight timelines.
Comfort with technical systems and eagerness to learn new software tools.
Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
Self-driven with ability to work independently while collaborating across various teams.

Preferred Background

Experience in custom closets or cabinetry fields.
Familiarity with residential remodeling or home improvement projects.
Background in CAD drafting or technical design roles.
Involvement with installation, production planning, or project coordination activities.
Knowledge of Closet Factory or similar companies is advantageous.
Hands-on construction or installation experience combined with passion for technical problem solving, CAD work, and coordinating projects.
