About the Role
Empire Life invites applications for the position of Business Quality Analyst II, based in a hybrid model between Kingston and Toronto. This role is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) team and offers an opportunity to work in a transforming Canadian company within a stable industry. The total target compensation ranges from $78,698 to $125,350, inclusive of salary and target bonus, applicable only to permanent employees; fixed-term contracts and casual roles receive base salary alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business leaders to accurately gather and document business requirements
- Validate solutions to ensure they meet stakeholder goals through manual verification
- Leverage Empire Life’s Product Delivery Framework to guide solution delivery initiatives
- Conduct gap analyses and propose actionable solutions to address business challenges
- Provide mentorship and coaching to new team members regarding the Product Delivery Framework
- Lead Scrum ceremonies and manage delivery of smaller-scale projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent professional experience
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Over 2 years of experience working within Scrum teams, including crafting User Stories
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to manage various projects simultaneously
- Ability to perform independently and collaborate effectively within teams
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment
- Capability to build strong organizational relationships and communicate effectively at all levels, including senior leadership
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and coaching junior colleagues
- English language fluency to support communication across Canadian teams and stakeholders
