Overview
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a BUPA Health Advisor based at Sevenoaks Medical Centre in Sevenoaks, with work at other nearby facilities when needed. The position offers a salary of £26,500 to £28,000, depending on experience.
The role suits someone who enjoys helping people make practical lifestyle changes that support better health, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes. You will carry out health assessments, discuss results with patients, and encourage positive change in a supportive clinical environment.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out health assessment checks such as ECGs, venepuncture blood sampling, blood pressure readings, body measurements, and use of the body stat machine.
- Interpret assessment findings and provide tailored lifestyle guidance based on the patient’s risks, results, and personal health goals.
- Prepare all equipment before each session and leave the area clean, organised, and safe once the assessment is complete.
- Deliver a strong patient-focused experience throughout every health assessment.
Essential criteria
- A vocational qualification at post-secondary level in a relevant discipline.
- Previous experience carrying out measurements or assessments in a health or fitness setting.
- Experience advising patients on healthy living topics such as physical activity, nutrition, smoking, alcohol, sleep, and stress.
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate well with a wide range of patients.
Desirable criteria
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject.
- Prior experience working as a Health Advisor in a clinical environment.
