Building Maintenance Worker

Overview

Somba Ke Family Dental is looking to hire a Building Maintenance Worker for its Yellowknife, Northwest Territories location. This is a full-time, on-site position, which means the work must be done at the physical workplace and cannot be performed remotely.

Language

English is required for this role.

Education

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed.

Experience

Previous experience is considered an advantage, but it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Use industrial vacuum equipment to clear away scraps, dust, heavy waste, and other debris.
• Carry out small fixes and basic adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and bring in tradespeople when larger repairs are needed.
• Arrange repair and maintenance services with outside contractors when required.
• Complete safety and security inspections.
• Handle routine upkeep tasks such as painting and drywall patching.
• Sanitize bathrooms and related fixtures.
• Work independently with little day-to-day supervision.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and parking areas.
