Biomedical Technician

Position Overview

This full-time, on-site Biomedical Technician position is based in Jeddah, with responsibilities extending to Riyadh and Dammam. The technician will be tasked with the installation, calibration, and upkeep of medical devices to guarantee their safe and efficient functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify technical faults.
• Perform repairs and maintenance adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Document all maintenance procedures comprehensively.
• Work closely with clinical personnel to address and prioritize equipment-related issues.
• Provide basic instructions to users on correct equipment operation.
• Assist in monitoring device performance and suggest necessary upgrades.
• Contribute to inventory management and lifecycle tracking of medical equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficient in maintenance and repair of clinical and technical medical devices.
• Experience with diverse medical equipment in healthcare or clinical settings.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards specific to medical environments.
• Educational background in Biomedical Engineering or related technical fields.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in biomedical technology, engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
• Capability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and documentation.
• Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving aptitude with prioritization skills.
• Clear communication abilities and teamwork skills with clinical and technical teams.
• Knowledge of medical device regulatory and safety requirements; prior work in hospitals or clinics is beneficial.
