Role Summary

The Bartender position entails delivering exceptional guest services and maintaining professional standards to enrich every customer’s visit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model professionalism through appearance, punctuality, and a positive, solutions-focused attitude.
  • Communicate feedback effectively with staff and keep management informed about operational issues.
  • Manage conflict situations calmly and impartially to resolve guest complaints or staff disputes.
  • Mentor team members by recognizing training needs and fostering a learning-focused, accountable environment.
  • Prioritize guest satisfaction through leadership that reinforces brand standards and service excellence.
  • Enforce company policies fairly and maintain a respectful work environment.
  • Execute opening and closing duties, ensuring all tables and side stations meet prescribed standards before service.
  • Provide food and beverage services aligned with departmental procedures and quality standards.
  • Welcome guests warmly and escort them to tables, ensuring prompt service delivery at ideal temperatures.
  • Promote upselling of food and beverage offers and cross-promote other dining venues during peak capacity.
  • Deliver personalized service by remembering guest names and preferences.
  • Apply stringent food safety and hygiene standards per HACCP guidelines.
  • Manage supply requisitions to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  • Address guest feedback tactfully and report incidents to management as needed.
  • Oversee designated workstations and assume outlet supervisory duties in management’s absence.
  • Support other Food & Beverage outlets during high demand periods.
  • Maintain outstanding LQA service standards across operations.

Administrative Duties

  • Conduct regular inventory checks, control wastage, and manage stock levels to optimize costs.
  • Create effective staff schedules aligned with workload forecasts, labor laws, and budget goals.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene requirements, including staff training and audits.
  • Handle cash management, reconcile financial reports, and oversee petty cash and invoice processing accurately.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures covering all operational aspects.

Guest Service and Operational Excellence

  • Engage actively with guests to collect feedback and document follow-up actions to ensure satisfaction.
  • Efficiently address and resolve guest complaints and concerns.
  • Achieve a target of at least 10 guest reviews per month that specifically recognize staff contributions, reporting these to management.

Hygiene, Safety, and Maintenance

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all food and beverage offerings and hotel amenities.
  • Keep daily logs for hygiene and temperature monitoring of storage areas, reporting any deviations promptly.
  • Perform weekly inspections of banquet areas to identify and rectify safety issues collaboratively with maintenance.
  • Be fully trained and familiar with hotel fire safety and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

  • Secondary or high school education.
  • Additional Food & Beverage certification is advantageous.
  • Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Additional language skills and basic understanding of local dialects are beneficial.
  • Energetic personality with a positive and vibrant demeanor.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
