Role Purpose

Join The Ritz-Carlton, Doha’s team as a Bartender to craft exceptional beverage experiences by creating and serving high-quality drinks paired with personalized, luxury service. Upholding the rigorous Marriott International standards, you will ensure every guest interaction is memorable and reflects the brand's excellence.

Key Expectations and Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standardized recipes.
• Deliver engaging and tailored service to guests at the bar and dining areas.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of beverage menus, current promotions, and ingredient details.
• Recommend drinks based on individual guest preferences and suggest upselling opportunities where fitting.
• Ensure the bar is fully prepared, spotless, and stocked before and during service.
• Implement responsible alcohol service practices and adhere strictly to legal requirements.
• Manage cash transactions and payment processes accurately.
• Keep the bar area organized and clean consistently.
• Assist with inventory management and promptly report any stock shortages.
• Coordinate efforts with the service team to guarantee seamless operations.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Consistently follow The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott service standards and protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Fluency in English, with additional languages considered an asset.
• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous bartending experience, ideally in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments.
• Knowledge of international drink recipes and bar operations.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and handle bar equipment safely.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Maintain strict hygiene and grooming standards in line with luxury hospitality norms.
