Role Overview
The Barista Chef is tasked with crafting and serving a diverse range of hot and cold drinks, including espresso-based beverages and other café specialties, ensuring excellent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include brewing coffee, operating coffee equipment, steaming milk, preparing syrups and garnishes, maintaining uniform recipes and portion control, as well as delivering courteous customer service through taking orders, responding to menu inquiries, handling payments, and assisting on the floor.
The role requires maintaining a tidy and systematic workspace, supporting café opening and closing routines, and strictly complying with food safety and hygiene protocols. The position demands close collaboration with the café team to ensure a seamless experience for guests. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Lucknow.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in preparing espresso-based drinks, milk frothing, and general coffee brewing techniques.
- Excellent customer service aptitude, including effective communication, attentive listening, and a polite, guest-friendly demeanor.
- Skilled in cash handling, using POS systems, and adhering to recipes and standard procedures.
- Strong organizational habits and commitment to food safety and cleanliness standards.
- Previous barista or café experience preferred; basic fluency in English and local languages is advantageous.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while cooperating well with team members.
- Flexible work schedule, including availability on weekends and during peak periods; passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn new recipes is a plus.
