Overview
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Clinical Trials Assistant to join the research team within West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, supporting various clinical research studies across all trust sites. This position is fixed-term for one year initially, with working hours set at 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to advancing healthcare through clinical trials amidst exciting developments such as new hospital infrastructure and innovative care models.
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Trials Assistant will provide essential research support encompassing administrative duties, coordinating trial activities, ensuring compliance with protocols and standard operating procedures, and managing data collection. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and facilitation between the R&D department and other stakeholders will be important to assist with the smooth operation of research projects from initiation through to archiving.
Selection Process
Applicants should anticipate a two-stage selection process: an initial 20-minute Microsoft Excel task scheduled for August 6, 2026, followed by in-person interviews on August 7, 2026, for successful candidates. A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and access to Teams for the task is required.
