Overview
We are seeking a Back End Team Leader to guide and oversee the back-end production operations at Crown Arabia Can Company Ltd, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This leadership role is centered on ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, producing high-quality output, and maintaining strict compliance with safety regulations in can manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize daily activities for the back-end production crew, including work scheduling, delegation of tasks, and continuous performance assessment.
- Ensure adherence to quality control standards specific to the can manufacturing process throughout production.
- Uphold company safety guidelines by conducting regular safety inspections and swiftly resolving identified hazards.
- Address production challenges and machinery breakdowns, escalating more complex issues to maintenance or engineering teams when necessary.
- Provide comprehensive training for new team members covering operational procedures, safety measures, and quality benchmarks.
- Track and analyze production performance metrics, delivering detailed reports to management regarding team effectiveness and output.
- Spot opportunities to enhance production efficiency and actively participate in implementing improvements.
- Keep precise records of production activities, including downtime, output levels, and quality assurance checks.
- Coordinate with other departments such as front-end production, maintenance, and quality assurance to maintain seamless workflow.
- Promote a collaborative and positive work atmosphere by encouraging teamwork and open lines of communication.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification is a high school diploma or equivalent; additional preference given to candidates with an associate degree in technical or related fields.
- Three to five years' experience in manufacturing production, ideally within the canning or packaging sector.
- At least one to two years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
- Strong mechanical understanding with solid skills in diagnosing and solving production equipment issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of motivating and managing a team effectively.
- Sound knowledge of quality control and safety protocols applicable to manufacturing environments.
- Competent in reading technical documentation, schematics, and production specifications.
- Proficiency with fundamental computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to work flexible rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as demanded by production schedules.
