Overview

The Associé, charcuterie position at Walmart Canada offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within the retail sector. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values, maintaining and organizing the charcuterie section, and assisting with inventory management and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and zone the charcuterie department effectively.
• Manage stock rotation and inspect products to ensure none are expired.
• Confirm that merchandise pricing is accurately displayed.
• Adhere to food safety and compliance standards including cold chain protocols, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, and expiration date monitoring.
• Take charcuterie product orders, slice and prepare meats, cheeses, and fried chicken, providing assistance as needed.
• Support cash area attendants with price verification tasks.
• Prepare charcuterie orders using slicers and other equipment; cook chicken with rotisserie ovens and fryers; assemble prepared salads and side dishes for display; and handle special customer orders when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area, ensuring no debris, unnecessary displays, foreign objects, or liquids are present.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $19.05 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicant must be 16 years or older.
