Role overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking Art Director to define the visual language for the brand and its campaigns. This position blends creative leadership with hands-on design work: you will develop ideas, guide execution, and ensure every visual asset supports the brand identity and marketing goals. As part of the Design Hotels Creative Team, you will own projects independently while also collaborating closely with colleagues. This position is centered on art direction and brand identity design, rather than photography or film direction.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Set the creative direction for campaigns, branding, and communications across digital, print, social, and other channels.
  • Guide, coach, and motivate designers, illustrators, and other creative team members to deliver strong output.
  • Work with marketing, content, and product partners to turn ideas into clear and compelling visual stories.
  • Manage the full creative workflow from initial concept to final delivery, keeping the work consistent, polished, and on-brand.
  • Assess creative assets and give clear feedback, approvals, and direction where needed.
  • Keep up with design trends, new tools, and emerging technologies to stay ahead creatively.
  • Present concepts and campaign ideas to stakeholders and adapt them based on feedback.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align creative work with business goals.
  • Ability to handle several projects at once, even under tight deadlines, without compromising quality.
